Mortgage Document Checklist
The following documents are usually required during the loan process. Additional documentation may be requested.
- Your government-issued photo ID
- W-2s for the last two years
- Paystubs for the past 30 days
- Bank, asset and retirement statements for the last two years
Additional documentation may be required if any of the below conditions apply to you:
You will need to provide two years of your personal income taxes (federal only). Also, if you have a separate business tax returns, you will need to provide two years of those as well.
You may need to provide your DD-214
You will need to supply a recent mortgage statements to document the monthly housing expense on all properties owned. If the mortgage is not impounded you will also need to provide the declarations page of the homeowner’s insurance policy for the property. Lastly, if the property has any HOA dues, you will need to document that with an HOA statement.
Provide two years of the K-1’s and if you own over 25% of the entity you will also need to supply the entities income tax returns.
In addition to providing the mortgage statements, you will need to provide 2 years of income taxes.
You’ll need to provide 2 years of income taxes and 2 months of statements from the source of the interest or dividends.
You’ll need to provide the Social Security Administrator’s (SSA) Award letter, or Proof of current receipt via a current bank statement.
